Join Bria from Audubon Mid-Atlantic for an engaging exploration of the natural world at Dixon Meadow Preserve. This interactive program begins with a guided nature walk through the preserve, where participants will observe the unique microhabitats that support a variety of plants and animals. Along the way, we’ll discuss how these small ecosystems connect to the larger waterways of the Wissahickon Watershed and why protecting them is important for the region’s environmental health. After the walk, participants will get hands-on with insect survey tools and microscopes to closely examine the tiny creatures living in this habitat.

This program offers a fun opportunity for curious learners of all ages to discover the hidden biodiversity right beneath our feet and gain a deeper appreciation for the role these small organisms play in the health of our local watershed.
