Flora/Fauna Walk and Talk

Participants will be given an overview as to “Why” and “How” the 14-acre natural areas known as the Dixon Meadow Preserve came into being. With that backdrop information, there will be an educational walk led by a field biologist and land planner through the refuge focused on the various native habitats ranging from open water to dry up- land meadows, the importance of the preserve to birds and other wildlife, and the management of stormwater for reduced flooding.
