Kenneth LeRoy, Board Member
Born and bred in Philadelphia, Ken LeRoy is a Temple University School of Horticulture alum (A.S. 1984). Upon graduation Ken managed the fruit and vegetable gardens at Ambler until 1986 when he left Temple for the University of Pennsylvania. Ken honed his horticultural skills as a section leader of the English Park at the Morris Arboretum. He was accepted into the International Society of Arboriculture in 1989, Certified Arborist #78 in the Pennsylvania/Delaware chapter. His interests in Urban Forestry, Horticulture, and Natural Science are expressed through writing, teaching, speaking and business. Formerly on the board of the Temple Ambler Arboretum, former board member of the Friends of the Wissahickon and The Woodlands Cemetery and Mansion. Ken remains active on the education committee of the Morris Arboretum where he established the Canopy Conference in conjunction with Haverford College. Ken LeRoy has been a practicing Arborist and Horticulturist throughout his career currently servicing his clientele in Philadelphia and the surrounding counties with John B. Ward Arborists. Ken is dedicated to the integration of trees and natural systems into the urban and suburban environment.
