Welcome to the Whitemarsh Foundation

Whitemarsh Foundation was formed when the local community came together to protect Erdenheim Farm, a cherished historic and agricultural landscape, at a moment when the future of that landscape was uncertain. For over 25 years, we have been dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of the Whitemarsh Valley and to furthering open space preservation, advocacy and education.

Today, the Foundation owns 189 acres of that historic farmland, which are leased back to our partners at Erdenheim Farm for agricultural operations and constitute part of their total 450-acre working farm. We foster open space education on a portion of the original farmland, with our rewilded 14-acre Dixon Meadow Preserve and the historic Dixon Meadow House & BLBB Education Pavilion acting as a living classroom and education center.
