In the final months of 2007, the Whitemarsh Foundation made great progress in its important mission of preserving Erdenheim Farm. Here are a few recent highlights:

Angus Tract

For the past year, we have been raising funds to purchase and preserve the Angus Tract, a key part of Erdenheim Farm.

In December, we received great news! We learned that we will receive $4.5 million from Merck toward the purchase of the Angus Tract. With this award, we are now just $400,000 shy of the $14.5 million needed. Most important of all, with this last major piece of funding in place, we now hope to purchase Angus in early 2008.

2nd Annual Triple Crown Golf Classic

Our 2nd Annual Triple Crown Golf Classic, held October 2 at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, raised more than $114,000 for the Whitemarsh Foundation. Special thanks to our golfers, sponsors and everyone else who contributed to this success!

3rd Annual Triple Crown Golf Classic

Please save the date for our 3rd Annual Triple Crown Golf Classic, which will be held on October 1, 2008.

Fundraising Update

Today, we continue to raise funds to protect and preserve Erdenheim Farm. We are seeking support for the remaining funds needed for the purchase of the Angus and for an endowment that will provide for the maintenance and stewardship of the Angus Tract in perpetuity.
